  • About

The Aspinall Foundation is working in Congo-Brazzaville and the neighbouring state of Gabon to protect around one million acres within the unique savannah ecosystem of the Batéké Plateau.

These projects are working with local partners to stop the rapid decline of critically endangered western lowland gorillas (whose numbers were down by 60% in the past 20-25 years).

This work is only possible with the generous donations of individual supporters. Your donation will directly support the international work of The Aspinall Foundation, including helping us to fund our team of experienced biologists and behavioural experts, the expenses for maintaining both sites in Congo & Gabon, food and supplies for the animals under our care, daily post-release monitoring, surveys and research of the flora and fauna in the region, and regular patrols.

We make a little go a long way and strive to ensure that every pound is well-spent. If you would like to support our work on reintroducing gorillas please donate.
